Abstract :
The paper presents the design of a 50 MW multiple beam Klystron at 11.424 GHz. The klystron operates at low voltages for solid state power supplies. The reduced voltages provides decreased X-ray generation and a reduction in the risk of electrical breakdown. This paper analyses various cavity configurations including standard pillbox cavities and multiple cavity ring resonators using the 3D code, MAGIC.
