Abstract :
A spatial Green´s function in 3-D is derived for finite-length stripline circuits. This Green´s function is used in a moment method adapted from that of R.F. Harrington (1968) for linear antennas. Through an extension of this moment method, one can calculate the potential and input impedance of any segment to avoid the fringe fields at the ends of the finite line. An example shows that this 3-D analysis gives less than 1% error in the characteristic impedance of the stripline when compared with the 2-D conformal mapping analysis of S.B. Cohn (1954).<>
