Abstract :
In previous work of the authors (see IEEE APS-S Symp. Digest, vol.4, p.1839, 1990), a full-wave analysis was chosen to solve the problem of waveguides terminated in a perfectly conducting ground plane. However, if the ground plane is assumed to be lossy, the exact analysis would be a formidable task. In the present work, the authors overcome this difficulty by introducing the impedance boundary condition to the lossy ground plane and using the conservation of complex power technique.<>
