Abstract :
This paper highlights the improvements that can be realized in various performance parameters in a digital communication system using wavelets. Parameters like spectral efficiency, bandwidth utilization and bit error rate are found to improve with the help of wavelets. Daubechies system of wavelets is used as a case study.
