Abstract :
The authors present measured broadband scattering matrix (SM) data and extend results on the description and modelling of broadband polarimetric data. The SM depends on the transmitted frequency and on the illumination direction of the radar, which is characterized by the directional vector in the target coordinate system. The bandwidth of the measurement data is 8.5 GHz, f/sub o/=18.0 GHz. Several scale model aircraft were measured under monostatic constraints in an anechoic chamber for different directions. The broadband SM variation of different targets at the same aspect angle is shown.<>
