Abstract :
The frequency and time domain analysis are presented for SCAPP (symbolic circuit analysis program without partitioning), which enables the symbolic simulator to perform DC, AC, and transient analysis on large-scale circuits. Frequency response computation is achieved by evaluating the sequence of expressions generated by SCAPP for a range of frequency values (s=jw). Time-domain values are calculated through frequency-domain techniques. The input signal is transformed into the frequency domain and these values are multiplied by the frequency response values. This result is inverse-transformed to yield time values. The SCAPP software package provides a user interface shell that allows both frequency response and time response analyses to be controlled interactively and the data to be viewed graphically
