Abstract :
The envelopes of the Walsh power spectra of a given vowel uttered by different speakers have been found to be almost shift invariant on the Bark frequency axis. Using this shift invariant property, the authors have developed a method to generate a speaker-independent voice template for speech recognition. Experimental results are presented
