Abstract :
The urgency and the characteristics for Chinese highway construction were discussed The market mechanism, the government leading mechanism, planning mechanism, public participation mechanism, technology innovation mechanism and evaluation mechanism for land intensive use were researched, then put forward that highway construction land use should paid use according to the market price ; the local government should establish the accountability for decision-making behavior in the highway construction; planning the construction scale reasonably, making scheme comparis on land use as the major indexes in the process of highway construction planning; implementing public participation mechanism in the whole process of highway construction; the government should provide policy support and establishing sharing mechanism, promotion land intensive use technology ; constructing the evaluation system of economical and intensive land use for land use ,to promoting the overall level of Chinese highway construction land use.
