Abstract
In modelling the electro-permeabilization processes of biological cells, several physical constants need to be measured or approximated in order to obtain realistic results from the numerical scheme approximating the theoretical model. The dynamics of the permeabilization processes due to electrical stimuli is regulated by the voltage evolution across the membrane (trans-membrane voltage-TMV). In this paper a detailed range analysis is carried out on the classical circuit model representing the cell membrane, taking into account parameters variations and/or uncertainties. Such an analysis provides the corresponding spans of the TMV and, in perspective, an accurate tool for evaluating the ranges of electrical pulses values (amplitude, rise time, duration) to be applied in order to obtain reversible or irreversible effects on the cell behaviour.
