Abstract
The complex image method is used to analyze multiconductor transmission lines in multilayered media. The effects of all dielectric interfaces and ground planes are taken into account by complex images. Chebyshev polynomials are used as the basis function in solving the unknown charge distributions on the conductor surfaces. In general, the resultant matrix size of this analysis is no more than 3N*3N for an N-strip transmission system. Numerical examples of a single line, twin lines, and three lines printed on a microstrip substrate are calculated. Numerical results show the accuracy of this analysis.<>
