Abstract :
In this paper TH 3994 helix TWT under development at Thales Electron Devices has been designed to meet the highest specification requirements in terms of power and linearity. In addition it remains compatible with existing HPA size and prime power, when operated at conventional performance level. The TWT exhibits remarkable characteristics with a single operating point (10.9kV helix voltage, 500 mA cathode current) for the three frequency bands.
