Abstract :
A comparative study of several methods for reducing the operation count in EM modeling is presented. The computer time and storage are compared with the same example by using the moment method, the diakoptic method, the spatial decomposition method, and the matrix partitioning method. The features of each method are discussed. The scattering problem of a 2-D conducting strip with a TM (transverse magnetic) plane wave normally incident is chosen as a computational example.<>
