Abstract :
Field Bus is the familiar name for a communications standard which is an ongoing initiative assigned to TC65/SC65c/WG6 of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Field Bus is a communication system which is expressly designed for process control and especially concerning the `real time´ constraints of physically or chemically dynamic systems. A summary of the requirement, status and commercial consequences of Field Bus is presented
