Abstract :
A dual-frequency low-profile printed dipole Yagi-array which can be attached at the back of a rear-view mirror within a vehicle interior is proposed. The relation between its configuration parameters and electrical performance is studied by numerical analysis. Although the dimensions of the antenna are very small, a frequency bandwidth, defined by a VSWR (voltage standing wave ratio) of less than 1.5 of 10% was achieved. Virtually identical radiation patterns with directivity of 4 dB/sub i/ were achieved in both frequency bands. By combining the output of two of the proposed antennas, diversity reception can be achieved.<>
