Abstract :
The accuracy of a nonparaxial Gaussian beam is studied for the case of a corrugated horn. Modifications are given to the conventional Gaussian beam formulation derived using the paraxial approximation. With the modifications the field perpendicular to the beam axis can be calculated accurately with the Gaussian beam.<>
