A mobile telecommunication network architecture for the multimedia age

The number of the mobile subscribers has been increasing. At the same time, the scale of the Internet is still rapidly increasing. This means that the next generation of mobile networks should handle not only voice but also multimedia data, including still images and video based on the IP protocol, without restriction.
