  • Abstract
An absorbing boundary condition (ABC) is developed and applied to both frequency and time-domain finite-element analyses of electromagnetic waves using vector and scalar potentials. The ABC is derived using Bayliss-Turkel approximations of first and second orders. Results for a radial waveguide and for an antenna array are shown to agree with classical results.<>
