Abstract
The authors present a method to reduce the scattering from reflector gaps. The reduction is obtained by providing the edges of the panels with one or more corrugations. The corrugations make the edge act as an artificially soft surface. In order to verify the idea of soft edges. a model consisting of two panels with a narrow gap between them has been measured. The transmitted field was reduced by more than 10 dB over a 20% bandwidth using a single corrugation.<>
