Abstract :
In this paper we present preliminary results of a large signal Lagrangian code under development. This code is used as a computer aid tool in the development of a Ku-band 200 W (saturated power) traveling-wave tube. At this stage the code is unidimensional and single frequency neglecting servers and/or taper sections. However, due to its simplicity and low ldquocomputational weightrdquo this code is a good tool for studying the beam-wave interaction mechanism and guides initial stages of the construction of a TWT.
