Abstract :
Ultra-wideband (UWB) transmission is a supporting technology for future wireless networks. The requirements of high data rate and low power consumption make it necessary for practical systems to have simple modulation schemes and effective detection algorithms. In this paper, we consider on-off keying (OOK) modulation UWB systems. Detection is based on an overcomplete dictionary signal representation and sparsity-driven optimization. The proposed system has low complexity and can be optimized for the best performance according to different pulse shapes as well as noise and/or interference.
