  • Abstract
Computer technologies have been used in college English teaching more and more widely. With the college English teaching reform being carried out, computer technologies will show more advantages in college English teaching. This paper presents a relatively extensive view on the integration of computer technologies in college English teaching. First, how to use computer technologies to make effective courseware is introduced through analyzing some unsuccessful PowerPoint courseware. Then, this paper probes into the process of computer technology integration in college English classrooms equipped with traditional interactive blackboard, and discusses some potential problems related to the use of computer technologies in the language classroom. Thirdly, as the assignments and after-class reading are important to language teaching, this paper summaries some ideas and techniques for the students to communicate with teachers. Finally, it is proposed that teachers should change their views toward integrating computer technologies in college English teaching.
