Abstract :
A field strength prediction model developed at the German TELEKOM Research Institute has been extended to small cell situations in an urban environment with a remaining prediction error comparable to the error in its original validity range. Lists in the program giving empirical values describing the distance and base station antenna height dependence of the field strength media have been extended. In addition, the street orientation information, if available, can be included now in the prediction procedure. Also, a number of internal modifications, e.g., omission of several minimum distances, was carried out in order to make the program suitable for small-cell situations.<>
