Abstract
The design and development of a novel, low-cost, co/cross-polarized feed is reported. Its application is part of a reflector antenna system used in VSAT (very small aperture terminal) networks operating over the C-band frequency range (transmit 5.925-6.425 GHz and receive 3.7-4.2 GHz). The challenging design parameter of this feed was to provide both copolarization and cross-polarization configurations in a single component.<>
