Abstract :
Variations in performance are presented for a cross-dipole antenna and quadrifilar helix antenna installed in typical mountings. Installations that were investigated include a crossed-dipole over a finite ground plane, a quadrifilar helix mounted on a shaped ground plane, and a quadrifilar helix with shaped ground plane mounted on a representative side of a satellite. Measured radiation patterns are shown.<>
