Abstract
A wideband time-domain reflectometer has been developed to measure the reflection coefficient of RF/microwave absorbers. The advantage of using a time-domain approach is that reflections from various parts of the test chamber can be separated from one another by the differences in their time of arrival at the receiving antenna. The resultant response waveform from a fire-retardant 940-mm rotated pyramid absorber after processing is complete is shown. In addition, measurement results are presented for a non-fire retardant and a fire retardant, 660-mm long pyramid.<>
