Abstract :
The optimal locations of the I-VII TC&R broadbeam antennas were determined based on scale mock-up test results. The broadbeam antennas at these locations will not only provide the best RF performance but also satisfy other spacecraft configuration constraints. It is shown that the I-VII H/Z reflectors create pattern blockage and a focused high X-pol on the telemetry antenna patterns. The computer predictions on these effects were verified by scale mock-up measurements.<>
