Abstract
The chamber was commissioned using standard Scientific Atlanta (SA) test equipment. Later the SA single channel receiver was replaced with a Hewlett Packard 8510 network analyser, the measurement system was automated and a comprehensive analysis software package implemented. This indoor test facility (anechoic chamber) is used to carry out measurements over the 0.25 to 30 GHz range on low gain antennas. The transmit antenna can be remotely set to the required polarisation or continuously rotated. The HP8510 was chosen because of its swept frequency capability
