Abstract :
It is shown that the performances of electromagnetic missiles of disk type are restricted by practical conditions such as the nonsingular. nonzero slope, and continuous conditions in addition to the finite-energy condition. The performances achieved can be only between the inverse-linear law and the classical inverse-square law of the distance. Numerical results were obtained for a radiating circular disk with isosceles trapezoidal excitation.<>
