Abstract
The authors describe a multimode single radiating aperture feed system with equalized gain in the sum and difference patterns, very high power handling capability. and a simplified construction resulting in improved overall characteristics. Measured results from a fully developed engineering model are presented. This feed system achieves 70% increase in the tracking sensitivity of the particular radar in question due to the equalized gain in sum and difference patterns. The power handling capability of the feed has been successfully tested up to 95 kilowatt peak and 600 watt average. Modular or integrated split block hardware construction options are available depending on operating frequency which may range from microwave up to millimeter-wave bands.<>
