Abstract :
The researches on decentralised and/or adaptive control of power systems have received a great interest in recent years. Unfortunately, classic approaches in modelling power system and in designing controllers do not guarantee an adequate performance in multi-machine systems. For this reason, in the paper, the power system has been modelled as an interconnected system using the direct feedback linearization technique and a decentralised model reference adaptive control (DMRAC) has been presented. In order to show the performance of the proposed control law, some numerical experiments on a four machines test system have been carried out
