Abstract :
Describes the experimental use of electronic mail for the dissemination of the newsletter of an information unit within Shell International Petroleum Company. Electronic mail was shown to be a success for this purpose and for supporting the activities associated with an information unit in a large multinational organisation. Its timeliness, clarity, and ease of use have assured its continued success and an expansion in the range of activities it supports
