  • Abstract
A thick perforated plate and an open waveguide array antenna are treated by means of the same formalism. In both cases, the structures are illuminated by an incident plane wave and fields are expanded in Floquet modes in free space and guided modes in waveguides. Matching at the apertures is achieved by the classical moment method. The formalism used includes both the radiation pattern calculation (receiving antenna) and the bistatic and monostatic radar cross section determination. The feeding network is represented by a reflection coefficient, taking into account phase shifters. An experimental check of the computer code is presented.<>
