Abstract :
The National Measurement Laboratory (NML) is responsible for the development, maintenance and dissemination of physical standards in Australia. This paper addresses some aspects of measurement traceability of high voltage equipment, itemising the reference systems maintained at NML, which are established through fundamental standards and/or international comparisons. Recently, much effort has been focused on the development of reference impulse voltage measurement systems, with clearly established traceability, to facilitate the adoption of the IEC high voltage measurement standard in Australia
