Abstract
In this paper, a novel preamble which is composed of two OFDM training symbols with different numbers of identical parts is designed for OFDM systems. Based on the designed preamble, we propose a high performance frequency offset estimator by jointly using the CFO estimations independently obtained from the two training symbols. By elaborately selecting the values of the numbers of identical parts, the proposed estimator can estimate frequency offset over tens of the subcarrier spacing while achieving a superior estimate performance
