Abstract :
A method for the control of a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs) between equilibrium states is introduced. The idea is to control the system such that, during its transition from the initial to the final equilibrium, its state space trajectory is close to an equilibrium path to which the two states belong. The transition can be conducted in a quasi-stationary manner, which has many practical advantages.
