Abstract :
Dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) is now a well established technique for characterizing the basic performance properties of polymeric materials over a wide temperature range and a limited frequency range. The method operates via the molecular relaxation technique and not via heat capacity changes as in all forms of calorimetry. In the DMTA method an oscillating mechanical stress is imposed in order to probe the molecular relaxation processes
