Abstract :
Dynamic optimal dispatch (DOD) has long been recognized as an important issue in power system operation and should be considered in competitive electricity markets. This paper proposes a novel network flow model of DOD and applies a nonlinear network flow method to its solution. Case studies show that the proposed model and algorithm have such merits as simplicity, generality, and rapidity
