Abstract :
Because of the complex work environment, the lubricating boundary conditions of rock bit journal bearing are special. It cannot be simply dealt with the boundary conditions as ordinary bearings. Otherwise, the results of the lubrication analysis will be affected. Through the analysis of work environment of rock bit journal bearing and the comparison of difference of ordinary bearings, proposed the lubricating boundary condition of rock bit journal bearing with the environmental stress and sealing pressure differential for consideration, and combined with the user interface and function of MATLAB PDE Toolbox for numerical analysis. The study showed that the rock bit journal bearing has a stronger load capacity under special boundary conditions.
