  • Abstract
Long design-cycle is desired to meet the specific requirements of customers for mass customization (MS) product. In order to quickly respond to customer demand, construct the product configuration model and describe the knowledge of configuration design first, and then preliminarily determine the product structure and conduct accurate configuration based on configuration knowledge base; Next make flexible configuration based on Tabular Layouts of Article Characteristics to ensure that the product structure meet customer requirements. After this, implement secondary development of CAD system with Visual Basic language and build a prototype system. Finally an example of configuration design of multifunctional hydraulic hoisting machinery was provided to verify the feasibility of the theory by which the design-cycle is greatly shortened.
