Abstract
A method for aggregating induction motor loads in an electric power system is presented which is relatively simple and acceptable in accuracy. A procedure for determination of the equivalent circuit parameters and mechanical parameters of the aggregate induction motor is shown. The parameters of the aggregate induction motor obtained are used in the voltage equations and mechanical equation which describe the transient behavior of the induction motor. Based on these equations, the transient responses of the aggregate induction motor to line voltage disturbance are simulated and compared with those of the original induction motor group to confirm the effectiveness of the aggregate induction motor model proposed in this paper
