Abstract
Construction industry has been regarded as the locomotive of Taiwan´s business in 1970. Because there are inherent limitations, construction has gradually become a more backward industry. Taiwan joined the WTO in 2001, construction firms need to improve management and implementation of physical fitness to cope with the impact of open markets. In order to comply with the fairness and avoid unnecessary disputes, construction companies have sub-item contracts with sub-constructors. Subcontracting disputes happen for construction industry since there are lack of professional attainment. This study integrates the structure of subcontract documents. This sub-item contract template have been established through the help of legal advisers from Construction Association to review these documentation. Database is applied to store frequently used variables. When parser reads these keywords, the values stored in database are fetched and inserted into output file to compile a new complete contact fitting specific condition. These documents are stored in a directory based on the hierarchy of company, project and sub-item. This Contract Management System can help the construction industry to facilitate a clear, flexible, detailed sub-contract management, improve administrating capabilities, reduce cost and time consuming, avoid sub-contracting disputes, increase competitiveness and ensure sustainable operation.
