Abstract :
GEMINI is a national initiative to lay the foundations for a publicly available expert systems development methodology to complement and integrate with software engineering methods including SSADM. The paper outlines the rationale behind project GEMINI and reports on progress and plans. The objectives of the full GEMINI programme, aimed at establishing the method, are outlined in order to provide the context for Stage I, the method definition study, which is now complete. Some results of the study are given and an update on progress and outline of future plans is presented
