Abstract
Advanced treatment of secondary urban sewage by active sand continuous filter on wastewater treatment has been studied in a pilot test. The results indicate that this technology is feasible, and the effluent water quantity is steady. The contents of Effluent suspended solids (SS) and total phosphorus (TP) is both meet with A-level standards of urban sewage treatment plant pollutant discharge standard of China. And the removal efficiency of SS and TP is 83%~92% and 70%~95%, respectively. The energy can be saved and wastewater discharge can be reduced when the filter is used for the advanced treatment process in the new wastewater treatment plant, or used for wastewater treatment plant improvement.
