Abstract
This work proposes a design and tuning method for PI regulators, based on the three-phase induction motor mathematical model complex transfer function to be used in induction motor direct torque control when the machine operates at low speed which is a problem so far. The PI controller was designed and tuned by frequency-response function of the closed loop system. The PI gain controller presents a minor complexity to the induction motor control implementation. Experimental results are carried out to validate the controller design.
