High frequency ultrasonic transducer evaluation using modulation transfer function

Transducers for use in a pulsed digital reflection acoustic microscope in the frequency range 25-100 MHz are considered. The concept of the MTF to the characterisation of high frequency ultrasonic transducers of the type used in pulsed acoustic microscopes is applied taking into account the additional complication of the ultrasonic imaging and an overall characterisation procedure has been developed
