  • Abstract
    Demonstrates that a high coupling efficiency into a quasi-optic power combining cavity can be achieved with fundamental mode self-oscillating slot sources. It remains to be shown however that single mode high output powers can be generated by combining a larger number of such devices in a common cavity. It is implicit in the work described that harmonic power from individual modules can also be combined in the optical cavity to provide a useful solid state source of high frequency power with comparatively simple engineering
