Abstract :
Briefly reviews some of the available empirical models for clutter and presents some new results for approximating detection performance in K-distributed sea clutter. The emphasis is on clutter observed at low grazing angles and high range resolution, where significant deviations from Gaussian amplitude statistics are observed
