Abstract :
High voltage porcelain insulators are playing an important role in high voltage transmission line. They are long term operation in complex environment, and there are high safe requirement for high voltage transmission line. So the improvements of the mechanical and electrical characteristics become very important. In this paper, we take the steel foot structural of the high voltage porcelain insulators as the optimization object, apply the least squares approach to optimize it. The results of the optimization show that it can not only improve the mechanical characteristics, but also save production cost.
