Abstract :
This paper discusses an innovative extension of a platform that integrates external intelligent environments into state-of-the-art vehicles. The platform is dedicated to automotive environments for sensor networks focusing on distribution along a personal area vehicle network. Since the platform infrastructure is currently limited and forms a non scalable process unit, an embedded OSGi-based UPnP platform extension is designed and implemented that registers devices and sensors located in a car network. This extension also supports service provisioning and connections to external and remote network services.
