Abstract
The JCMT (James Clerk Maxwell Telescope) design has been successful in meeting the requirement for extreme accuracy set by the application to submillimetre astronomy. Some of the techniques-the homologous design of the structure, for example, and perhaps the manufacture and adjustment of the panels-are relevant to the design of antennas used in other fields, especially those where high frequencies and large collecting areas are involved
